Smartphone with rollable Display

There are many smartphone manufacturers who showcased their concept and ideas of a rollable display in a smartphone, OPPO joins the list after a poster from the firm has surfaced online, clearly mentioning about a rollable display. The text in the poster translates to “Big screen? Small screen? Infinite screen? In the future, your mobile phone may be able to retract freely”.

This year’s INNO edition is on 17th November, OPPO generally showcases new innovations and technologies that it has been working on. Companies like TCL, LG has already talked about their rollable phones, there was even a prototype from TCL which was leaked quite back. LG may release a phone under its Explorer Project as LG has already patented a smartphone with a design similar like rollable display.

China National Intellectual Property Administration just recently published a patent of a OPPO rollable display. We doubt that the INNO edition this year might be related to the rollable display. The Weibo post (where the poster surfaced) clearly mentions that the poster is about a concept device. But it’s the concept devices that becomes reality, sooner or later.
